The Carnivore Steak & Grill…..yes please! Well now….we have journeyed to Ao Nang most years, Covid period excepted, for about twenty years now….and always make a bee line for the Carnivore. Why? Well, because it’s the best steakhouse anywhere that I know of…..and I’m including Europe the that assessment. The restaurant is just beautiful, the staff are super attentive without being overly intrusive, and the chef, who I believe has been there for fourteen years, really knows his stuff. The restaurant is owned by Gidi, from the Netherlands, but is run and managed entirely by local Thai staff…..who of course speak English. The menu is extensive, so if steak is not your thing, well, there are plenty of alternatives…..just check the on-line menu. The seafood is locally caught, the lamb is New Zealand, and the steak is Australian, so with that line up, you just can’t go wrong. Wines from just about every wine producing region of the world. Price wise, it’s not bargain basement dining, but it’s worth every Baht. Note that the staff are on European level employment contracts, with similar conditions as their European colleagues…..definitely no exploitative sweat-shop conditions here… That probably explains their level of motivation. I urge you to pay a visit….I’m sure you will have a great time.

Best steak and 5 star service. Wow Fantastic steak with 5 star experience, service and attention to detail. I had the 12oz tenderloin medium rare and it was cooked to perfection, my wife had the ribs which were falling off the bone, a must go place to eat when in Aonang, best meal of the week and probably one of the best steaks i have ever had.

Carnivore Espaço exterior muito bonito, atendimento muito eficiente e rápido , carne maravilhosa, pessoal que sabe, preço ajustado, vale a pena visitar.

Viande excellente mais humeur difficile à comprendre La viande est excellente. Cependant, nous y sommes allés 2 fois et les 2 fois, la viande était froide. Ils l'ont recuite un peu. Là, c'était parfait mais les frites et la sauce ont eu le temps de refroidir. Le restaurant est très beau mais l'humeur des serveuses est vraiment à revoir. C'est dommage !

Carne de 10 en un lugar maravilloso El lugar perfecto si quieres desconectar de la comida asiática y probar una carne de PRIMERA calidad, preparada a la perfeccción! Calidad del producto excelente! Una experiencia más que recomendable

A steakhouse of unrivalled class Being new to the area, we stumbled across this restaurant which looked very appealing and mysterious from the exterior and we were not disappointed. The setting, wine, food, staff, and their service was absolutely top notch. I cannot recall enjoying a ribeye steak as much in my life and the wine was superb. It was the little touches which made this restaurant special, such as the amuse bouche served before the appetisers and the palette cleanser served between courses. Unfortunately a disagreement did ensue between a couple and the staff who believed they had been overcharged and this was not dealt with quickly enough, with both sides seemingly refusing to back down in front of other diners. For the amounts involved, it seemed rather petty and surely somebody could have backed down in the situation to avoid ruining an otherwise exemplary dining experience. We will be back.
